Torrecuso
A pleasant and fertile territory
The town is said to have been founded by an Etruscan who, fleeing his land, found in the Torrecuso area a pleasant and fertile territory with vines and olive trees to green its hills. Later, in the Lombard period, Torrecuso was certainly a center of great strategic importance on the slopes of Mount Pentime. In very remote times, the town was located near the Calore river, near the ancient Fenucchio bridge, downstream from the current town, which has preserved the Lombard urban layout in its historic center.
The unspoiled landscapes and the mild climate together with the remains of Ponte Fenucchio, the restored Palazzo Cito, the prestigious church of the Santissima Annunziata and the narrow alleys of the historic center enchant the visitor's eyes. History and traditions, authenticity and courtesy, food and wine and territory make Torrecuso the ideal destination for those seeking quality of life in the simplicity of everyday life and in the peaceful passage of time.
